MyClimate

#PutInYourVote - Live Aktivierung

Context
Switzerland was heading to a climate vote in June 2023. Two years earlier, a first Climate Act had narrowly failed at the ballot despite favourable polls. myclimate needed a campaign that would mobilise beyond the usual climate audience and emotionalise rather than inform. The strategic insight: a Yes to the Climate Act meant investment in Swiss energy companies rather than petrodollars flowing into foreign despots' war chests. To make this tangible, a 2.2m interactive screen installation was placed at Zürich HB featuring a state-of-the-art deepfake Putin. When passers-by inserted their voting ballot into an integrated official post box, a sensor triggered an animation of Putin coughing and turning red. On day two, a 67-year-old woman attacked the screen with a hammer. It was replaced the same day.
The Climate Act passed on June 18 with 59% approval.
